Over five consecutive Friday nights during July and August, the Collingwood Swimming Club was represented at the Winter Interclub competition by eight teams, five junior teams and three senior teams. Our results were brilliant.
It is a monumental task to get our teams to Interclub. Every week the Team Managers notify Tony and Louie of each swimmer’s availability then Tony and Louie select the teams. For Tony driving the bus and the parents who come along, there is the epic journey across town during peak hour traffic and once we arrive at MSAC we have to organise officials for time keeping and other essential tasks.

It is a big night for everyone. Many thanks to the parents who helped out as Team Managers and officials each week and particular thanks to Tony and Louie for all the hard work in selecting the teams and providing transport.
Most importantly of all, congratulations to each of our Winter Interclub swimmers. Their effort and team spirit is second to none and it is always an exciting atmosphere in the stand with the Collingwood Club.
